Salud Spirits has secured the distribution rights for Dos Hombres Mezcal in Austria. The brand, founded in 2019 by actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, will now be available through Salud’s extensive online and retail channels.
Heritage and Production
Dos Hombres embodies the rich tradition of mezcal production in Mexico. It is crafted by seventh-generation distiller Gregorio Velasco in San Luis del Río, Oaxaca. The spirit is made from six-year-old Espadín agave and bottled at 42% ABV.
Distinctive Flavor Profile
Tasters note a vibrant mix of apple and mango, with subtle hints of local fruits like zapote. A gentle touch of oak from the fermentation barrels adds complexity to each sip.
Salud Spirits Portfolio Fit
“Dos Hombres fits perfectly with our portfolio of Mexican-flavored spirits such as 818 Tequila and other celebrity brands,” said Maria Kitsati, Country Director of Salud Spirits. Salud’s lineup already includes Scotch whiskies Loch Lomond, Glen Scotia, Scarabus, and Margot Robbie’s Papa Salt Gin.
Celebrity Backing and Investment
Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston launched Dos Hombres after visiting a remote Mexican village in 2019. In 2021, Constellation Brands acquired a minority stake in the mezcal for an undisclosed amount, reinforcing confidence in the brand’s growth potential.
