Mojave Gold opened on May 31 in Palm Springs, offering new California cuisine, genre-defying performances, and thoughtful design. The venue is the brainchild of Cooper Gillespie and Greg Gordon of psychedelic pop band Landroid, together with entrepreneurs Dale and Brookelyn Fox of Foxden Hospitality (known for Dive Palm Springs).
Designed as a Gathering Place
“We built Mojave Gold for the community we love,” said Gillespie. “It’s a place for artists and visionaries to connect, create, and celebrate this unique land we call home.” The Foxden team handled project development, while Gillespie shaped the drink menu and entertainment vision.
Signature Cocktails and Curated Sips
Cooper Gillespie curated the bar’s signature cocktails:
Bad Reputation: Ron del Barrilito Tristar rum, Amaro di Angostura, tequila, lime, and orange.
Mojave Gold: Rancho de la Luna mezcal, lemon, chili honey, velvet farenham, and a gold leaf garnish.
The drink list also features rotating seasonal specials.
Music by Top LA Curator
Talent agent Liz Garo—the force behind Los Angeles venues Echo and Echoplex—will oversee Mojave Gold’s music programming. She plans a blend of live acts and DJ sets that push creative boundaries.
Desert-Inspired California Cuisine
Executive chef Beren Ekine-Huett leads the kitchen with a menu that marries California flavors and desert ingredients. Offerings include:
Small Bites: Cactus and citrus ceviche.
Mains: Mojave veggie burger or kale Caesar salad.
Diners can expect fresh, locally inspired dishes that celebrate the region.
Golden-Age Interior Design
Co-founder Brookelyn Fox designed the interiors to evoke the golden age of music. Highlights include vintage brass furniture, a gold-record ceiling, and reclaimed wood from the Hollywood Bowl. The space blends nostalgia with modern comfort.
