FRONTIGNAN, France — The 25th edition of Muscats du Monde, the world’s leading competition dedicated to Muscat wines, is set to take place on July 9–10, 2025, in the historic winemaking town of Frontignan, located in France’s Languedoc-Roussillon region. Organizers anticipate the event will be the largest in its history, drawing 230 wine samples from 24 countries — the broadest international participation to date.
Approximately 100 expert judges from across the globe, including oenologists, sommeliers, industry specialists, and wine journalists, will conduct blind tastings under strict sensory evaluation protocols. The judging process adheres to standards validated by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), reinforcing the competition’s credibility and methodological rigor.
Muscats du Monde has established itself as a key global showcase for Muscat wines in all their styles — from dry to sweet to sparkling. Renowned for its comparative tastings, the competition annually highlights outstanding examples of the varietal through its influential “Top 10” list, serving as a benchmark for both consumers and industry professionals.
Frontignan’s selection as the host city underscores its deep-rooted connection to Muscat wine production. Situated in one of France’s most prominent Muscat-producing regions, the town has previously hosted the competition and continues to represent both tradition and innovation in the global Muscat industry.
Registration for participating producers remains open until June 5, 2025, via the official website. The event offers wineries a platform for international recognition and market expansion, while providing wine professionals and enthusiasts a unique lens into evolving trends and excellence in Muscat winemaking worldwide.
