San Francisco Celebrates AAPI Heritage Month with Five-Day Cocktail Showcase

San Francisco, CA — In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, San Francisco is hosting the third annual AAPI Cocktail Week, a five-day celebration spotlighting Asian-inspired mixology from May 25 to 29.

Founded by acclaimed bartender and Pacific Cocktail Haven owner Kevin Diedrich, the event brings together over 20 of the Bay Area’s top AAPI-owned bars and restaurants. The festival aims to showcase the diversity and depth of Asian cocktail culture through tastings, guest shifts, and themed experiences across the city.

One of the week’s most anticipated highlights includes a guest appearance by Singapore’s Jigger & Pony, ranked the fifth-best bar in the world by 50 Best. On Wednesday, Bar Zest Korea—named the ninth-best globally—will also present its signature drinks to San Francisco attendees.

The opening event will be held at Diedrich’s Pacific Cocktail Haven, located in Union Square. Additional attractions include a Sunset Luau Cruise on Memorial Day, featuring beverages curated by a group of acclaimed bartenders from Hawai‘i.

“This is a way to help share what we do in San Francisco,” Diedrich said, noting the opportunity to collaborate with prominent bartenders from across Asia.
