CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A unique collaboration between Oddstory Brewing Co. and the Chattanooga Zoo has resulted in the launch of Hang Two Mango IPA, a tropical beer brewed with real mango and featuring a two-toed sloth on the can.
The limited-edition brew celebrates Boysenberry, a nearly eight-year-old two-toed sloth who recently arrived at the Chattanooga Zoo from Portland, Oregon. She is the first sloth to reside at the zoo in several years and has quickly become a favorite among visitors for her surprisingly active demeanor.
“We thought it would be a really fun idea to celebrate one of the newest members of the Zoo family with a special beer created in her honor,” said Jake Cash, director of marketing and communications at the Chattanooga Zoo.
In addition to the beer release, Oddstory Brewing Co. has designated the Chattanooga Zoo as its Nonprofit of the Month for June. As part of the partnership, the brewery will host a giveback night on June 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at its Central Avenue location. A portion of proceeds from the evening will benefit the zoo.
Hang Two Mango IPA will be sold exclusively at Oddstory’s locations on Central Avenue and East M.L. King Boulevard, as well as at the Chattanooga Zoo.
The partnership is being promoted with a special video release featuring Boysenberry and the new beer.
