LOS ANGELES — Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House, the city’s only UNESCO World Heritage site, has been spared from sweeping budget cuts that threatened its cultural programming, thanks to a wave of public support. As a result, the celebrated Barnsdall Fridays Wine Tasting series is set to return this summer, offering Angelenos a renewed opportunity to enjoy the beloved landmark.
Organized by the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation, the fundraiser will kick off its 16th season on June 6, 2025, and run through September 26, excluding July 4. The event will be held every Friday from 5:30 PM to 9 PM on Olive Hill and the West Lawn of Hollyhock House. Proceeds from the series will directly fund arts programming within Barnsdall Art Park.
Despite limited availability for opening night, a broad range of tickets remain for the rest of the summer season. Building on the momentum of last year’s event, organizers have extended the series to accommodate increased demand.
Attendees can expect artisanal wines curated by Silverlake Wine, an array of offerings from local food trucks, and live DJ sets. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets for seating comfort.
Beyond the wine tasting, visitors can explore exhibitions at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG) and the Barnsdall Junior Arts Center Gallery. A new feature this year, Friday Night Arts at LAMAG, will launch in June with a schedule of artist-led experiences and interactive installations. The series will debut with an immersive piece by multimedia artist Bill Barminski. In addition, the COLA 2025 exhibition—highlighting new work by Los Angeles-based artists—will be on display throughout July and August.
Kaiser Permanente returns as the lead sponsor for the 2025 season. General admission is priced at $45, while premium ticket tiers, including a tour of Hollyhock House, start at $80. Designated driver tickets are also available.
Due to limited parking at 4800 Hollywood Blvd., attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or rideshare services.
