TCO General Director John Rozzoni described the event as ideal for newcomers to the art form. By moving away from traditional formal settings, Rozzoni said the event demystifies opera and presents it as a vibrant, inclusive experience.

“At TCO, we believe that opera is for everyone,” said Rozzoni. “Opera is often seen as something old, in a foreign language, and extravagant—but it is also a living, breathing art form. This event shows that opera can be fun, accessible, and shared in a communal way.”
