Busch Gardens Revives Free Beer Tradition, Launches Drone and Stunt Shows for Summer Lineup

TAMPA, Fla. — Busch Gardens is reviving its longstanding tradition of offering free beer to guests this summer, part of a broader slate of seasonal attractions that includes a nighttime drone show, a BMX stunt performance, and several new dining and entertainment experiences.

The complimentary beer offering is a nod to the park’s origins as a promotional outpost for former owner Anheuser-Busch, when guests were once treated to two free beers per day. While the modern version is more modest, visitors aged 21 and over can receive one free seven-ounce beer daily at Claw Island, located near the Congo River Rapids. The promotion begins May 23, continuing nightly from May 30 through August 10. Pass Members will be eligible to receive two free beers per day.

In addition to the beverage promotion, Busch Gardens is rolling out new entertainment options. The Wild Skies drone show will illuminate the night with choreographed aerial displays set to music, concluding with a fireworks finale. Meanwhile, the Moto-Motion stunt show, debuting in the Stanleyville Theater, will feature high-flying BMX and motocross stunts in a high-energy indoor performance.

“These cutting-edge experiences amplify the energy of Summer Nights,” the park said in an official statement, “offering guests unforgettable entertainment from day to night.”

Enhancements to the park also include the unveiling of a new meerkat habitat and the introduction of TOMA, a Latin American-inspired quick-service restaurant. Located at the Orang Café in the Jungala section, TOMA is a culinary collaboration between actress Sofía Vergara, known for her role on Modern Family, and her son, Manolo Vergara. The eatery will specialize in savory and sweet empanadas and builds upon its debut at the park’s Howl-O-Scream event last fall. A full quick-service version is slated to open in 2025.

Also set to debut this summer is Casbar, an outdoor full-service bar located in the Moroccan Village near Zagora. An official opening date has yet to be announced.

One of the most significant additions will be the transformation of the Jungala play area into Wild Oasis, a rainforest-themed kids’ zone featuring rides, climbing structures, and a splash pad designed to immerse young visitors in a vibrant jungle environment.

The new features are part of Busch Gardens’ broader effort to enhance its guest experience during the summer season, combining nostalgic offerings with innovative entertainment and fresh dining options.
