The Hunterdon Beer Trail is back for its fifth year this spring. For the first time, the program adds two new breweries, a commemorative beer mug, and an exclusive celebration party for passport finishers.
Passport Program and Participating Breweries
Beer enthusiasts can pick up a free Trail passport at any of Hunterdon County’s eight breweries starting Sunday, June 1. To complete the passport, participants must visit each brewery and collect a stamp by Wednesday, December 31. This year’s lineup includes:

Kickoff Event at Descendants Brewing
The Trail officially begins at noon on June 1 at Descendants Brewing Company, which also serves food on site. Attendees can purchase beer from every participating brewery, pick up passports, and meet many of the brewery owners. T-shirts, key chains, and other giveaways will be available until supplies run out.
Commemorative Stein and Exclusive Party
Participants who complete their passport by December 31 can redeem it for a special beer stein at any county brewery. This is the first time commemorative glasses have returned since 2021, after strong public demand. Last year, about 500 people completed the passport.
For the first time, those who finish the Trail will be invited to an exclusive celebration party in January 2026. Details will be announced later this year.
Growing Local Brewery Scene
“The beer industry in New Jersey has been shrinking, but it’s growing in Hunterdon,” said Mark Saluk, Hunterdon County’s Director of Economic Development and Tourism. “The Trail helps people discover the quality of our craft breweries. Anything that grows here can be turned into a handcrafted product.”
