Unique Flavor from Japan’s Chiba Region

Made in Chiba, east of Tokyo, Ukiyo Yuzu Gin is known for its distinct taste. It features the tangy acidity of yuzu fruit, the rich aroma of orange peel, and the delicate spice of sansho pepper.

With an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40%, this gin targets both gin enthusiasts and new consumers looking for innovative, high-quality spirits.

Strengthening Co-op’s Premium Gin Selection

The arrival of Ukiyo Yuzu Gin enhances Co-op’s premium gin range. It also addresses the rising demand for Asian-flavored spirits.

Phoebe Baxter-Graham, Co-op’s spirits buyer, said, “Ukiyo Yuzu Gin is a fantastic addition to our premium gin collection. Asian spirits are growing in popularity, and Ukiyo’s unique yuzu flavor offers a fresh and exciting option for our members and customers.”

She added, “I’ve been a fan since the start. I was immediately drawn to Ukiyo’s beautiful bottle design and excellent taste.”

Continued UK Expansion for Ukiyo

This launch continues Ukiyo Yuzu Gin’s expansion in the UK, where it is already sold through independent high-end retailers, bars, hotels, and restaurants.

The gin will retail at £32 ($43) in Co-op stores, with a special promotional price of £26 ($35) throughout July.

Last month, Kirker Greer Spirits successfully introduced Ukiyo Japanese Blossom Gin to more than 200 Waitrose stores in the UK, further boosting the brand’s presence.
