Papa Salt: A Taste of Australian Coastal Life
Founded in 2023 by five friends — Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, Regan Riskas Maas, and Charlie Maas — Papa Salt Coastal Gin is crafted at the Lord Byron Distillery in Byron Bay, Australia. The gin aims to capture the essence of an idyllic Australian beach day.
Using native Australian botanicals such as wattle seeds and coriander, Papa Salt is inspired by a serendipitous encounter at a beach bar with a man known as “Papa Salt,” which became the gin’s namesake.
The gin features a distinctive profile with notes of sweet juniper berries, sea salt, ginger, and a hint of spice, combined with a fresh citrus character that evokes carefree coastal vibes.
Salud Austria: Innovating in a Competitive Market
Maria Kitsati, Country Director of Salud Austria, shared her excitement about the new partnership:

Papa Salt Coastal Gin is now officially available in Austria through Salud, giving Austrian consumers access to this premium craft spirit.
International Growth and New Product Launches
Papa Salt made its UK debut in June last year and will be available nationwide in Tesco stores starting January 2025.
In a further move to broaden its portfolio, Papa Salt recently collaborated with Fever-Tree to launch a blood orange flavoured ready-to-drink (RTD) Spritz. This launch represents Papa Salt’s first RTD product — a gin-based Paloma crafted specifically for global travel retail.
