The 7th Annual Junior Achievement Wine & Beer Festival was held Friday evening at Four Winds Field, drawing crowds eager to sample a wide range of local beverages while supporting youth education initiatives.
Featuring more than 75 offerings from regional wineries and breweries, the event provided a rich tasting experience for attendees and served as a key fundraiser for Junior Achievement programs in St. Joseph County.
Proceeds from the festival will help fund Junior Achievement’s educational programs, which focus on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. These lessons are delivered during the school day by community volunteers and are provided at no cost to schools.
Kristy Bridegroom, Director of Development for Junior Achievement, emphasized the importance of events like the festival in sustaining the nonprofit’s mission. “We offer curriculum and lessons for kids K-12 during the school day in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness, and it’s all covered through donations and support and vendors and events like this,” she said.
The annual festival continues to blend community engagement with charitable impact, helping equip local students with essential life and career skills.
