Fruit-flavored beers, ranging from peach-infused sours to sweet candy-inspired brews, are rapidly gaining traction within the craft beer scene, particularly in Canada, with the trend expected to spread to international markets.
British retailer Tesco has identified fruit beer styles as “Britain’s fastest-growing beer trend,” highlighting a significant rise in consumer demand across the UK. Tesco’s beer buyer, Ben Cole, emphasized the surge in fruit-led brews—especially lagers—describing it as the most influential development in the UK beer market since the onset of the craft beer boom over 15 years ago.
Industry data from global drinks analysts project that the fruit beer category will reach a market value of US$433.2 million by 2030, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.7% between 2025 and 2030. Analysts note the flavor spectrum includes peach, raspberry, cherry, apricot, and other fruits, underscoring the diversity fueling consumer interest.
In Canada, the craze for peach-flavored beers was evident when Railway City Brewing Co’s “Fuzzy Peach” release attracted large crowds in St. Thomas as part of their Express series of rotating recipes. Other Canadian craft breweries have introduced various fruit-infused options, such as iOTA’s non-alcoholic wheat and peach juice brew, Something in the Water Brewing Co’s Painted Lake Peach Crisp, and Royal City Brewing Co’s peach radler, which combines their Exhibition Session IPA with homemade peach soda. These offerings are available at Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) outlets.
Additional innovative blends include Blood Brothers Brewing Co’s 6% ABV sour “Paradise Lost,” featuring peaches and mangoes, and Lake of the Woods Brewing Co’s “Sneaky Peach,” a pale ale brewed with peach puree.
Alongside fruit beers, other emerging trends include the increasing use of Strata hops in brewing recipes and the growing popularity of beer salt as a customization option for consumers.
Beyond North America, Heineken’s United Breweries Limited recently launched two fruit-flavored Kingfisher beers in India, signaling the global reach of this trend. Industry reports from db also list fruit beers as one of the major beer trends shaping the market in 2025.
