Ho to Host Launch of ‘Passion to Pouring,’ a Luxury Cocktail Experience Merging Mixology and Music

by Kaia

The Volta Regional capital, Ho, is preparing to unveil Passion to Pouring, an innovative luxury cocktail tasting event that blends the science of mixology with the artistry of music to create a unique multisensory experience.

This immersive event redefines the traditional cocktail tasting by pairing each drink with an exclusive musical composition, embodying the philosophy that “if you can taste it in your glass, then you can hear it as music.” By transforming cocktails into harmonious compositions, Passion to Pouring seeks to engage both taste buds and auditory senses simultaneously.

More than a singular event, Passion to Pouring represents a movement that aims to revolutionize hospitality through innovation, empowerment, and sustainability. In line with the rising global demand for organic and exotic cocktail ingredients, the initiative highlights the use of African fruit and herbal extracts, starting with a world-class tasting experience in Ho.

The project also prioritizes community development by providing skills training in mixology to women, youth, students, and beverage enthusiasts. This approach intends to open avenues for employment, entrepreneurship, and creative expression within Ghana’s growing hospitality sector.

The launch phase includes a hands-on, one-day workshop scheduled for June 2025 at Ho Technical University. The training targets aspiring mixologists and hospitality professionals, emphasizing the use of local ingredients and sustainable practices to nurture expertise and promote economic opportunities.

Looking ahead, Passion to Pouring plans to establish a Cocktail Studio in Ho—a dedicated space for mixology education, tastings, syrup production, and innovation. This studio aims to serve as a creative hub for research and industry-driven training to cultivate the next generation of beverage innovators in Ghana.

The signature cocktail tasting event will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, featuring seven original cocktails crafted from natural ingredients, each paired with a bespoke musical piece. This pairing is designed to create an emotional and sensory connection, making the experience a performance of taste and sound.

Governor E.K. Tetteh, a veteran hospitality professional and pioneer of mobile mixology services in the Volta Region, leads the initiative. With over ten years of experience managing food and beverage operations at Volta Serene Hotel, Tetteh has mentored many industry professionals. As founder of The Gratitude Project GH, an NGO focused on skills training for the underprivileged, he integrates social impact with professional development at the core of Passion to Pouring.

“We are building something bigger than cocktails—we’re building capacity, culture, and community. It starts here in Ho, but the vision is global,” Governor Tetteh stated.

The project invites financial, technical, and material support from corporate organizations, NGOs, individuals, and institutions committed to advancing Africa’s hospitality and creative sectors. Partners will play a crucial role in delivering this fusion of art, education, and empowerment.

Launching from Ho, Passion to Pouring is poised to redefine cocktail culture in Ghana by turning each drink into a narrative and every melody into an emotional experience—celebrating not just flavor but the boundless possibilities it represents.
