Sweden’s historic aquavit brand OP Anderson has introduced Amp Shot, a new 16% ABV liqueur that fuses its signature aquavit with contemporary flavors. Amp Shot combines citrus, cool mint, gummy tea, and chili. This blend aims to bridge the gap between time-honored craftsmanship and today’s party scene.
Inna Cahnbley, global brand manager at Anora, said the goal was to keep the essence of OP Anderson while creating something completely new. “Amp Shot represents vibrant energy, togetherness, and moments of creativity,” she explained. The product is aimed at a younger generation of premium spirits lovers who seek both authenticity and innovation.
Eye-Catching Packaging Aimed at Younger Consumers
Amp Shot stands out on shelves with a sleek jet-black label. Neon green accents and glow-in-the-dark effects give the bottle a modern, playful look. The design was created to reflect the liqueur’s blend of heritage and contemporary style.
Anora noted that international spirits markets now value both craftsmanship and modern trends. Amp Shot’s packaging and flavor profile are built to appeal to these evolving consumer tastes.
Availability and Pricing in Sweden
Amp Shot is now available through special orders at Systembolaget, Sweden’s government-owned liquor store chain. The liqueur retails for SEK 199 (€18 or $21) per bottle.
Anora said it plans to monitor demand and may expand distribution once initial sales data are collected. For now, Swedish customers can order Amp Shot directly through Systembolaget’s special order system.
Brand Heritage and Company Updates
OP Anderson has been known as Sweden’s oldest aquavit brand since it launched in 1891. Over the years, the company has added flavored products to its portfolio, including raspberry gin and stout-infused aquavit. Amp Shot marks OP Anderson’s first venture into a low-alcohol, flavor-forward liqueur targeted at contemporary consumers.
Earlier this year, Anora appointed Kirsi Puntila as its new CEO. Last month, the company named Imre Avalo as senior vice president of spirits. Anora said these leadership changes support its strategy to expand internationally and to innovate within classic spirit categories.
