Cardrona Distillery has relocated its global brand ambassador, Pat Fraser, from New Zealand to the United States. This move is part of Cardrona’s strategy to expand its presence in the US market. Fraser’s role will focus on driving education, strengthening trade partnerships, and supporting brand growth in key regions.
Founder and Managing Director Desiree Reid highlighted Fraser’s importance: “Pat’s arrival in the US is a significant milestone for Cardrona. His deep understanding of our processes and passion for our spirits make him an ideal ambassador. With Pat on board, we are better able to tell The Reid’s story and expand its reach across the US.”
Cardrona’s Heritage and Product Range
Cardrona was founded in 2015 by Reid on New Zealand’s South Island. The distillery produces single malt whiskies and its signature vodka, Reid Vodka.
In 2023, UK-based International Beverage acquired Cardrona. The acquisition aims to establish a strong position in the evolving New World spirits market.
Reid Vodka: Tradition Meets Craftsmanship
Reid Vodka is crafted by Master Distiller Sarah Elsom, using local barley and a custom-made Carl still. The vodka is neither ice-filtered nor charcoal-filtered and has an alcohol content of 44% ABV.
Reid explained the brand’s approach to vodka: “Modern vodka often has a reputation for being bland, but that hasn’t always been the case. Reid Vodka is inspired by traditional vodkas—crafted, distinctive, and made with the finest ingredients. This vodka has a unique provenance and character, made by female artisans who care deeply about quality.”
