Plymouth Gin has unveiled its latest creation: a naturally honey-flavoured gin crafted using the brand’s original recipe from 1793. This new release offers notes of golden honey and vanilla, rounded off with a classic juniper and citrus finish.
Smooth and Delicate at 41.2% ABV
At an alcohol strength of 41.2% ABV, the gin is described as a “delicate and smooth expression,” appealing to both traditional and adventurous gin lovers.
Innovation in Flavoured Gin
Tony Ingram, Global Brand Director at Plymouth Gin, said,
“Honey has surged in popularity across many spirits categories, however, few have dared to challenge this in gin. We did, and we’re confident it will be a sensation.” He added, “Our consumers are increasingly interested in exploring innovative flavours. What could be more exciting than a new flavoured gin that uses the highest quality ingredients and stays true to the timeless flavours of Plymouth Gin?”
Packaging Celebrates the Bee
The bottle design highlights the star ingredient — the bee. Made from jet black glass, it features a gold and black label adorned with images of bees, honeycomb, and honey drops, reflecting the essence of the gin.
Availability and Price
Plymouth Honey Gin will be available from June with a recommended retail price of €42 ($47).
Crafted at the Historic Blackfriars Distillery
This gin is produced at the Blackfriars Distillery on England’s southwest coast. The distillery, once a 15th-century monastery, holds the title of the oldest working distillery in the UK.
Plymouth’s Expanding Gin Range
Honey Gin is the sixth addition to the Plymouth Gin range. The brand recently won gold medals at the inaugural tasting of the 2024 Gin Masters, confirming its reputation for quality.
