Fredericksburg-based Salvation Spirits Distillery announced that its flagship product, Fritztown Gin, has been named one of the Top 5 Gins in the World by the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC). This accolade places Fritztown Gin in contention for the coveted title of Best Gin in the World, which is set to be revealed this November.
Salvation Spirits, founded in Texas Hill Country, is a craft distillery dedicated not only to producing award-winning spirits but also to supporting charitable causes. The company allocates 10% of its net profits to organizations aiding the poor, vulnerable, and hungry, including the Chi Rho mission focused on combating human trafficking.
This recognition at the SFWSC adds to a series of recent honors for Salvation Spirits’ portfolio: Chi Rho Peach Brandy was named Best Craft Brandy in America by the American Craft Spirits Association in February 2024, while Salvation Spirits Vodka earned the title of Best Vodka in America at the America’s Best Spirits Competition in November 2024. Furthermore, all other products in the distillery’s lineup have received multiple awards across various competitions.
Trey Blocker, founder and CEO of Salvation Spirits, expressed pride in the global recognition, stating, “Our goal has always been to create world-class spirits right here in Fredericksburg, and this recognition affirms the quality, passion and craft our team pours into every bottle.”
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is widely respected for its stringent blind-tasting process and international panel of experts, drawing thousands of entries worldwide each year.
Salvation Spirits products are currently available at Judy’s Liquor, The Speakeasy at Salvation Spirits, with plans to expand distribution in the near future.
