Mudgee’s Three Tails Brewery and Robert Stein Winery have once again joined forces for the latest installment of their acclaimed cross-industry collaboration series, Two Worlds Collide. This new release, the third in the series, presents a unique Rosé Lager that combines Robert Stein’s 2025 Cabernet grapes with Three Tails’ signature Enigma hops, blending the art of winemaking with craft brewing.
Mick Ash, co-owner of Three Tails Brewery, highlighted the strong partnership between the two producers: “As our winemaker friends say, ‘it takes a lot of great beer to make great wine’—so why not join them? This latest brew captures everything we love about collaborating with the Stein family—a crisp, refreshing lager that highlights their award-winning grapes alongside our dedication to boutique beer.”
The Rosé Lager is described as “pink and bubbly, with just the right amount of sweetness.” Tasting notes reveal delicate aromas of berries and sweet floral undertones, created by the harmonious fusion of Cabernet grape juice and Enigma hops, delivering a distinctive and enjoyable drinking experience.
Building on the success of previous collaborative brews, including a Cabernet Stout and a Shiraz barrel-aged lager, this new release continues to push the boundaries between beer and wine. It aims to captivate consumers seeking innovative hybrid flavor profiles and category-defying craftsmanship.
Jacob Stein, winemaker at Robert Stein Winery, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “We always look forward to working with our mates at Three Tails. It’s a great opportunity to experiment and have fun. This Rosé Lager is one of those experiments that truly worked—resulting in a fresh, vibrant drink that we’re excited to share and see how it’s received.”
The Two Worlds Collide Rosé Lager is currently available at Three Tails Brewery, Robert Stein Winery, and select suppliers across Central West New South Wales.
