RICHMOND, Va. — Craft Beer Professionals (CBP) has announced the launch of Virginia Beer Day, a new statewide celebration scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025, aimed at honoring Virginia’s craft beer community while funding educational opportunities for industry professionals.
The inaugural event will unite breweries and beer enthusiasts across the Commonwealth, offering exclusive merchandise and supporting scholarships for the upcoming Virginia Brewers Conference, taking place September 15–17, 2025, in Richmond.
“Virginia Beer Day gives breweries and fans the opportunity to be part of a statewide celebration of Virginia beer while also supporting scholarships that further the education of those who help make our industry a success,” said Andrew Coplon, founder of Craft Beer Professionals.
Participating breweries will feature a limited-edition pint glass designed by Tianna DaCosta, winner of the 2025 Virginia Beer Day design contest. DaCosta, a Virginia-based illustrator known for her bold lettering and playful character design, draws inspiration from nostalgia, video games, and street art. Her artwork will be available on the commemorative glassware sold in taprooms across the state.
For every pint glass sold, $1 will be donated to scholarships for the Virginia Brewers Conference, helping expand access to essential training and networking for professionals in the craft beer industry.
Craft Beer Professionals is a national organization committed to fostering education, collaboration, and advancement within the craft beer sector. Through events such as Virginia Beer Day and the Virginia Brewers Conference, CBP aims to support brewery professionals at all levels of their careers.
Breweries interested in participating in Virginia Beer Day can find more information and sign up through the CBP’s official channels.
