Delhi Government Enforces Stricter Quality Checks on Microbrewery Beer

NEW DELHI, June 3 — The Delhi government has mandated all microbreweries operating in the capital to adhere strictly to quality control norms for beer, according to an official directive issued on Tuesday.

In a circular addressed to L-11 licence holders, authorities have specified that beer produced by microbreweries must not be sold without prior certification from an authorised chemist, confirming its fitness for human consumption.

The directive further requires microbrewery operators to submit beer samples to the excise department’s laboratory for analysis on a monthly basis. The resulting laboratory reports must be prominently displayed on the premises of the establishment.
