Launched in 2024, Traveler Blended Whiskey is a new premium spirit developed by Grammy-winning artist Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Master Blender Harlen Wheatley.
The whiskey brand is making headlines not just for its creators, but also for its official partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB). Starting this summer, Traveler Whiskey will become the official whiskey of MLB, reaching fans across the country.
Stapleton’s Love of Baseball Inspires the Partnership
Chris Stapleton, a longtime baseball fan, said that the game has become a personal tradition during his tours.
“Whenever we’re on the road and there’s a game, we go to a baseball game,” he shared. “We love experiencing all the different ballparks and the culture of being in each baseball town.”
He added that he even celebrated a wedding anniversary at Game 6 of the World Series. “Needless to say, I’m thrilled that Traveler Whiskey will be the official whiskey of Major League Baseball,” he said.
Whiskey and Baseball: A Celebration of American Tradition
Andrew Duncan, Global Brand Director for Traveler Whiskey, compared crafting whiskey to the skill required in baseball.
“Like the perfect swing or a game-changing slider, crafting premium whiskey is an art that takes passion, time and dedication to master,” Duncan said.
The brand promises to bring this same spirit to MLB stadiums. Starting this summer, fans can expect Traveler Whiskey promotions during games, creating a new baseball tradition.
National Marketing Campaign and Fan Events Announced
Traveler’s partnership with MLB includes a 360-degree marketing campaign. The brand will be featured across broadcasts, social media, digital platforms, and MLB Power Rankings. In addition, there will be in-store promotions throughout retail locations nationwide.
The whiskey brand will also appear at major events, including MLB All-Star Week and the MLB Racing Classic in 2025.
Fans aged 21 and over will have the chance to attend exclusive MLB experiences through customized sweepstakes and giveaways supported by both brands.
MLB Welcomes Traveler Whiskey Into the Fold
Uzma Rawn, MLB Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Partnerships, expressed excitement over the collaboration.
“We are thrilled to be working with Harlen, Chris, and the Buffalo Trace team to build this exceptional brand in a competitive and popular space,” Rawn said.
She added, “From record MLB fan engagement, All-Star Week in Atlanta, to the stock car classic at Bristol Motor Speedway, this is a great year for Traveler and MLB to begin their partnership.”
Traveler Whiskey Available Nationwide
Traveler Whiskey is now sold at retail stores, bars, and restaurants across the U.S., with a suggested retail price of $39.99 for a 750 ml bottle.
The brand made its U.S. debut in January 2024, followed by its U.K. launch in September. With its growing reach and MLB partnership, Traveler is quickly becoming a name to watch in the whiskey world.
