Organized by the Brewers Association, which represents independent American breweries, the World Beer Cup has been held biennially since 1996 and is widely considered a benchmark of brewing excellence.

The victories further solidify the reputation of 277 Craft Beer, which had previously secured four titles at the same competition. Agenor Maccari, the brewery’s owner, emphasized the international significance of the awards. He noted that “Canoa Quebrada” incorporates cashew—a native Brazilian fruit—while “Quadruppel 277” is aged in Brazilian wood, highlighting the brewery’s commitment to national ingredients and innovation.

Maccari also affirmed that the award-winning beers are part of the regular lineup and available to patrons at the brewery’s location on Rua Marechal Floriano, no. 709, in downtown Foz do Iguaçu. The brand maintains an active presence on Instagram under the handle @277craftbeer.

Paraná, the state home to Foz do Iguaçu, currently boasts more than 170 registered breweries, with an estimated annual output of 7.8 million liters. The region has invested in strengthening its craft beer industry, positioning it as a growing attraction for both locals and tourists.
