Two Kelowna breweries earned national accolades at the Canadian Brewing Awards, bringing home top honors for their craft beers.
Grey Fox Brewing continued its winning streak with a third consecutive gold medal for its ‘Quick Witted’ in the Gluten-Free Beer category.
The brewery also secured a bronze medal for its ‘Buckwild Stout’ in the same category. However, this year’s sweep was disrupted by Port Rexton Brewing Co. Ltd. from Newfoundland & Labrador, which claimed the silver medal.
Britannia Brewing, a more recent addition to the Kelowna craft beer scene, also made its mark. The brewery’s ‘Peach Wit’ earned a bronze medal in the Fruit Beer category. Originally based in Richmond, Britannia expanded to the Okanagan region in late 2023, opening its third location and relocating its operations to the Kelowna/Lake Country area.
The awards highlight the growing reputation of Kelowna’s brewing industry on the national stage.
