LIVERPOOL, UK — Bar Glue, a rising star in Liverpool’s cocktail scene, has been awarded ‘New Bar of the Year’ at the prestigious Class Bar Awards 2025, cementing its reputation as one of the top new establishments in the UK.
Located in the Royal Albert Dock’s Anchor Courtyard, the venue was previously known as Burnt Milk Hotel. Following a change in ownership, it was reimagined and rebranded by hospitality veterans Mike Bower and Nathan Price. The transformation has quickly garnered national attention.
Earlier this year, Bar Glue secured the 38th spot on the annual Top 50 Cocktail Bars list, marking a significant achievement for a venue that only opened nine months ago.
In a statement shared on social media, the team expressed their gratitude, describing the recognition as both humbling and unexpected. “When we opened the doors to Glue nine months ago for the first time, never did we expect to be stood in front of all of our peers accepting the Class Bar Magazine award for New Bar Of The Year 2025,” the post read.
Described as a “passion project of three best friends,” Bar Glue has quickly become a fixture in the national cocktail landscape. The accolade reflects both its rapid success and the growing prominence of Liverpool in the UK’s bar scene.
