The festival, organized by the team behind the popular Indie Food Festival, will transform The Yard on Aubrey Street into a hub of live music, craft beer, and street food. The venue, located behind the group’s restaurants—The Burger Shop, Leaven, and The Yard—offers visitors the convenience of ordering from all establishments via a central bar and courtyard setting.

Over 30 real ales and ciders will be available from a curated selection of regional breweries, including Wye Valley Brewery, Lost & Grounded, Weobly Brewing Co, Ledbury Real Ale, Night Owl Brewery, The Hop Shed, and Hereford Brewery, among others.

Live music will accompany the drinks throughout the weekend, with organizers promising a relaxed atmosphere during the day and livelier performances into the evening, culminating in vibrant courtyard parties.

In addition to food and drink, the Wye Valley Makers Market will be featured, offering festivalgoers a chance to shop local crafts and handmade goods while supporting regional artisans.

A Rule of Tum Hospitality was founded in 2013 by brothers Dorian, Rupert, and Edwin Kirk. Their inaugural project involved a series of supper clubs and Sunday lunches at Dunkerton’s Farm in Pembridge, which funded the launch of The Burger Shop in Hereford a decade ago.

Since then, the group has expanded to include multiple successful venues. Leaven, their artisan pizzeria, was recently highly commended for the second consecutive year at the 2024 Italian Awards in the Best Pizzeria category and was also a finalist in three other categories. Meanwhile, their latest venture, Maneki Ramen, was voted Best Japanese Restaurant in 2023 and has since opened a second location in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

The upcoming festival underscores the group’s ongoing commitment to showcasing high-quality local food, drink, and culture in Hereford.
