by Kaia

Urban Alley Brewery has launched two new beers and rebranded one of its core offerings, marking a bold move in both style and substance.

Leading the lineup is Fuschia, a 6.3% West Coast IPA that lives up to its vibrant name. Brewed with the 2024 Pink Boots Blend—featuring Krush, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Chinook hops—the beer pours a rich gold and delivers a sensory profile of pineapple, lavender, and pine. On the palate, it offers notes of lychee and tangerine, balanced by heightened bitterness and sweetness designed to create a striking contrast.

Fuschia has already received industry recognition, earning a silver medal at the 2025 Australian International Beer Awards.

In contrast, Urban Alley’s second new release, Vibes, is a 5.8% Best Extra Stout rooted in local ingredients. Brewed with Victorian-grown malts from Barrett Burston Malting and Joe White Maltings, and single-hopped with Ella, the stout carries a fruity aroma of prunes and dark roast coffee beans. Flavour notes include tiramisu and Jägermeister, delivering a complex, full-bodied drinking experience.

Alongside these new offerings, the brewery has refreshed one of its core range beers. Previously known as All Nighter Session Ale, the newly branded All Nighter Mid Strength Ale retains its 3.5% ABV and crisp, easy-drinking profile. Made with a blend of barley, wheat, and oat malts, it offers a full-flavoured pale ale experience with fruity hop character and a clean, lightly bitter finish.

The rebrand includes a packaging overhaul, replacing the original black can with a blue logo for a light blue design aimed at boosting shelf appeal. Despite the visual update, the beer’s familiar character remains unchanged. All Nighter continues to be a standout in its category, having secured silver medals at both the 2025 Australian International Beer Awards and the 2024 Australian Independent Beer Awards.

To mark the occasion, Urban Alley Brewery will host a sold-out launch event tomorrow evening at its Melbourne site. Attendees, including Urban Alley members, will receive exclusive perks such as complimentary tastings led by Head Brewer Dove Bailey and a free beer.
