Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival Returns with Global Lineup and Expanded Events

PASO ROBLES, Calif. — The Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival, widely regarded as one of the premier craft beer events on the West Coast, is set to return on Saturday, May 31, in Paso Robles. Known for its carefully curated selection and international appeal, the festival continues to set the standard for brewery-sponsored beer celebrations in California.

Announced on January 23, the 2025 edition of the Invitational will host more than 65 breweries from around the globe, including 15 first-time participants—a record number for the event. Organizers describe the festival as an elite gathering, akin to “Coachella for craft brewers,” where invitation alone signals a brewery’s exceptional status within the industry.

“The Firestone Walker Beer Festival attracts the best breweries in the world for a one-of-a-kind celebration of beer culture,” said Matt Brynildson, brewmaster at Firestone Walker. “It reflects our passion for supporting the ancient art of brewing, which is founded on community and bringing people together.”

First-time participants in 2025 include Minoh from Osaka, Japan; Hoppy People from Sierre, Switzerland; Horus Aged Ales from Oceanside, California; Panimoyhtiö Tuju from Finland; Single Hill Brewing from Yakima, Washington; Moksa Brewing Company from Rocklin, California; Uncharted Brew Co. from Antwerpen, Belgium; Alma Mader Brewing from Kansas City, Missouri; and Lawson’s Finest Liquids from Waitsfield, Vermont.

This year’s event will feature more than 300 meticulously selected beers, culinary offerings from over 20 acclaimed restaurants, live music, and “Behind the Beer” panel discussions hosted by the Brewing Network. Although the main event has sold out, several satellite events remain open to the public.

Brewery Block Party – May 30

On Friday, May 30, Firestone Walker will host a free Brewery Block Party at its Paso Robles location. The event, beginning at 1:30 p.m., will occupy the street between the brewhouse and Taproom restaurant, featuring:

  • Outdoor BBQ and lawn games
  • Guest taps from participating breweries
  • Brewery tours and exclusive bottle pours
  • Merchandise booths and satellite bars
  • Live music performances from Cloudship, Burnout Santa Cruz, and Pancho and the Wizard

“Brews & Brekky” Taproom Brunch – June 1

The festival weekend will conclude with the “Brews & Brekky” brunch on Sunday, June 1. Running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Firestone Walker Taproom, the event will feature a menu of hearty brunch dishes paired with select craft brews. Regular menu service will resume at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Despite its sold-out status, the Firestone Walker Invitational continues to enhance its reputation as a world-class celebration of brewing excellence, offering attendees a unique glimpse into global beer culture through collaboration, craftsmanship, and community.
