The London Beer Fest is set to return for its fourth consecutive year, taking over a portion of Dundas Place this weekend. The festival will highlight a diverse selection of craft beers, cocktails, and live music, all sourced from local producers across Southwestern Ontario.
Organizer Paulo Tovar emphasized the festival’s distinctive feature: free admission. Unlike many similar events in other cities that charge entry fees, the London Beer Fest welcomes attendees at no cost, making it more accessible to the community.
This year’s lineup includes 15 breweries and six distilleries, offering a broad spectrum of beverages—from well-loved IPAs and lagers to the latest trends in ready-to-drink cocktails. While sour beers gained popularity in past years, IPAs continue to hold a strong fan base among festival-goers.
The event will occupy Block 2 of Dundas Place over Friday and Saturday, featuring performances by both local and visiting bands to complement the beverage offerings.
Organizing a festival of this scale presents logistical challenges, with securing reliable power on the street cited as one of the biggest obstacles this year. Despite these difficulties, the team remains optimistic about the event’s growth, with plans to potentially expand to additional blocks in the future.
Safety remains a top priority for organizers. Security personnel will be on site, and bartenders are trained to refuse service to intoxicated patrons. Transportation options are also arranged to ensure attendees can get home safely.
In addition to alcoholic beverages, the festival will provide non-alcoholic options such as mocktails and possibly alcohol-free beer, depending on vendor availability.
With a combination of quality drinks, food, and live entertainment, the London Beer Fest aims to continue growing in the years ahead, focusing first on delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees this weekend.
