HONG KONG, May 12, 2025 – Japanese sushi izakaya chain SUGIDAMA has introduced Suntory The Premium Malts draft beer at all seven of its Hong Kong branches, beginning May 12. This launch marks the chain as one of the few establishments in the city to offer the highly regarded Japanese draft beer on tap, further enhancing its reputation for delivering an authentic izakaya dining experience.
To celebrate the debut, SUGIDAMA is offering a limited-time “Suntory The Premium Malts Draft Beer Set,” crafted to highlight the beer’s flavor profile alongside signature small plates. Priced at HK$98, the set includes one mug of Suntory The Premium Malts draft beer and a choice of appetizer from three options:
- Adult Potato Salad with Shiokara – A bold reinterpretation of the classic potato salad, incorporating salted squid, pickled daikon, and mullet roe for a rich umami flavor.
- Deep-Fried Jack Mackerel (2 pieces) – Lightly battered and served with tartar sauce to enhance the natural taste of the fish.
- Nanban Chicken with SUGIDAMA’s Special Sauce – Fried chicken topped with a house-made tartar-style sauce, offering a balanced tangy and sweet finish.
Guests have the option to upgrade to a 500ml mug for an additional HK$22. The set is available in limited quantities and may conclude once sold out.
Availability varies by location: the set will be offered from 11:00 a.m. at branches in Shatin Centre, Whampoa, Citywalk 1, and Aberdeen, and from 3:00 p.m. at all other outlets.
