Eden Mill has unveiled a striking evolution of its existing gin packaging, maintaining the brand’s iconic dimpled glass bottle while introducing a larger, more visible label to stand out on shelves and behind bars. One of the key design changes is the replacement of the previous screw cap with a wide cork, enhancing the bottle’s presence and tactile appeal.
Botanical Stories Highlighted on Core Products
The refreshed labels of Eden Mill’s three core gins—Love Gin, Original Gin, and Golf Gin—feature bespoke illustrations that narrate the unique origin stories and local inspirations behind each product.
Love Gin: A Tribute to Fife’s Berry-Growing Heritage
The vibrant pink gin, Love Gin, pays homage to the fertile hedgerows and rich berry-growing traditions of Fife. The label depicts a heart painted with raspberries and strawberries, symbolizing the fresh, fruity botanicals sourced just minutes from Eden Mill’s distillery on the banks of the Eden Estuary in St Andrews.
Original Gin: Inspired by the Rugged Fife Coastline
Original Gin celebrates the “tough” coastal environment of Fife and its rugged native flora. Key botanicals such as sea buckthorn and blueberry—described as “deceptively fruity”—thrive in this harsh environment. The addition of Scottish kelp provides a subtle salty note, complementing the sweet botanical flavors.
Golf Gin: The World’s First Gin Distilled with Botanicals from the Old Course at St Andrews
With its relaunch, Eden Mill Golf Gin becomes the first spirit globally to be distilled using botanicals harvested from the iconic Old Course at St Andrews. Ingredients like gorse, heather, and lavender imbue the gin with a distinct sense of place and tradition. Golf Gin is widely available in over 200 Waitrose stores across the UK.
Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
Eden Mill’s CEO, Rennie Donaldson, emphasized the significance of 2025 for the brand: “With our distillery now fully operational and our visitor centre scheduled to open this August, it’s an exciting time for Eden Mill. The refresh of our core gin range brings a vibrant new look that reflects the botanical stories and rich resources of Scotland’s east coast.”
The distillery is powered entirely by renewable energy, including a solar farm at the University of St Andrews and green energy tariffs from the national grid. Eden Mill is also pioneering sustainability initiatives, such as its partnership with MiAlgae, which transforms distillation wastewater into algae biomass—a sustainable alternative to marine fish sources.
By combining traditional distilling craftsmanship with modern innovation and environmental responsibility, Eden Mill aims to produce exceptional gin and Scotch whisky while minimizing ecological impact.
