Espolòn Cristalino is the latest addition to Espolòn’s portfolio in the UK, marking a significant entry into the ultra-premium tequila market. This special expression was one of the final creations of renowned tequila master Cirilo Oropeza, who sadly passed away in 2020. The spirit honors his craftsmanship and legacy.
Crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave
Inspired by a natural well beneath Espolòn’s distillery in Los Altos, Jalisco, Cristalino is crafted exclusively from 100% blue Weber agave. The tequila is a blend of aged and extra-aged spirits, which undergo a “minimal” charcoal filtration process. This unique method removes color but preserves the rich flavor profile, resulting in a clear, crystalline spirit.
Flavor Profile and Serving Recommendation
Espolòn Cristalino offers enticing aromas of caramelized agave and honey. Its taste features a smooth balance of fruity notes with an oaky finish, reflecting its aging process. Bottled at 40% ABV, it is best enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its nuanced character.

The tequila made its UK debut at The Whisky Exchange’s Tequila and Mezcal Show on 16 May 2024.

Availability and Price
Espolòn Cristalino will be available exclusively at The Whisky Exchange for one month starting 16 May 2024. The 700ml bottle has a recommended retail price (RRP) of £69.99 (approximately $94).
Previous Limited Edition Release
Last year, Espolòn also launched a limited edition reposado called Flor de Oro, notable for its infusion of natural marigold flower extract, demonstrating the brand’s ongoing innovation in tequila expressions.
