LONDON — Independent alcohol-free beer brand Days has launched a reformulated version of its flagship 0.0% ABV lager, introducing a new production method aimed at enhancing flavour while preserving its alcohol-free identity.

The updated recipe employs a “revolutionary” reverse osmosis process that operates at a low temperature, allowing for complete alcohol removal while maintaining the integrity of the beer’s taste profile. According to the company, this technique represents a significant technological advancement in the non-alcoholic beer sector.

Co-founder Duncan Keith stated that the innovation marks a substantial improvement in quality across all stages of brewing. “This new recipe enables us to produce the beer we’ve always dreamed of making,” Keith said.

The revised lager is brewed to a traditional Helles style, featuring a light straw appearance, a biscuity malt backbone, and a clean, crisp hop bitterness. Designed to offer broader appeal, the lager aims to align with evolving consumer preferences in the rapidly expanding low- and no-alcohol category.

“Moderation shouldn’t mean missing out,” Keith added, referencing four years of consumer research and insights from a wide network of UK retail distribution partners. He emphasized the importance of adapting the product in response to both technological advancements and market trends.

The new lager is currently available at Stonegate-operated pubs, Waitrose supermarkets, selected independent retailers, and through the brand’s official website.

Over the past year, Days collaborated with leading brewing experts to refine the formula. The result, according to the company, is a UK-crafted beer that closely mirrors the flavour and mouthfeel of full-strength options while offering one of the healthiest profiles in the market — low in carbohydrates, sugar, and calories, and completely alcohol-free.

“This launch is the culmination of our vision,” said Keith. “It’s a clean, crisp lager designed for today’s drinkers — one we’ve aspired to brew since day one.”
