Seattle—The state’s largest and most significant beer festival, the Washington Brewers Festival, makes its highly anticipated return this Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, at Seattle Center. The 21+ event will bring together over 75 breweries from across Washington state, showcasing hundreds of unique and diverse beers, alongside a selection of other adult beverages crafted by local artisans.
Celebrated as the premier annual gathering for craft beer enthusiasts, the festival offers more than just its extensive beer offerings. Attendees will discover innovative brews beyond the familiar flagship beers, including selections from breweries in regions such as Kennewick, Bellingham, and Vancouver. This diversity highlights the growing craft beer scene statewide.
Organized by the Washington Brewers Guild, a nonprofit trade organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for the state’s craft breweries, the festival serves as a fundraiser and community builder. The Guild promotes legislative advocacy and fosters camaraderie among Washington brewers, emphasizing the event’s mission as one “by the brewers, for the brewers.” This marks a departure from previous years when the festival was managed by the Washington Beer Commission under the Department of Agriculture.
Entertainment will feature live music curated by a DJ from KEXP, Seattle’s renowned independent listener-powered radio station, providing an energetic soundtrack that responds to the crowd’s vibe. Adding a unique twist to the festivities, professional wrestling matches will take place on site, offering an unexpected but entertaining spectacle reminiscent of past festival competitions.
The event has also streamlined its beverage service, eliminating the traditional token system in favor of a more straightforward approach, while maintaining responsible consumption standards.
After relocating from Marymoor Park due to venue availability, Seattle Center proves an ideal home for the festival. Known for hosting major events such as Bumbershoot, Folklife Festival, and Bite of Seattle, Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion and South Fountain Lawn provide a vibrant backdrop for the evolving craft beer community.
The 2024 festival marked a shift towards a younger and more diverse audience, signaling the future direction of craft beer culture in the region. Organizers anticipate this year’s event will continue to embrace that momentum.
The Washington Brewers Festival 2025 promises an immersive experience for beer lovers across the state, celebrating the art and spirit of Washington craft brewing.
