ASHLAND, Neb. — Ashland Brewing Company (ABC), a new establishment in the heart of Ashland, is set to open its doors on June 19 with ambitions that go well beyond craft beer. Founded by longtime residents Tim and Ashley Uryasz, the brewery seeks to blend hospitality, recreation, and local heritage into a destination for the community.
Launching with four original brews, ABC is designed as a family-friendly venue offering more than just a drink. The facility features indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, multiple cornhole sets, two full-service bars, a banquet room, and expansive outdoor seating including a deck and patio. An elevator ensures accessibility to the second floor.
Although the initial food offerings are limited, a full dining menu is planned for the near future.
For the Uryasz family, ABC is a labor of love rooted in Ashland’s past. The couple previously operated a downtown restaurant that was destroyed in a fire on Christmas Day in 2009. Despite that setback, their connection to the town remained strong.
“We’re most proud of what we’ve built here—not just the building, but the legacy we’re creating,” said co-owner Ashley Uryasz. “It’s a place for people to gather and make memories for generations.”
Tim Uryasz emphasized the importance of honoring local history and the partnerships that brought the brewery to life. Design elements throughout the space, including furniture patterns, nod to his childhood visits to his great-grandfather’s nearby cabin.
Kelsey Lane, who manages front-of-house operations, said the brewery is focused on creating a space that embodies the welcoming nature of Ashland.
“Service is a transaction, but hospitality is an experience,” Lane noted. “That sense of welcome found across the city is something we strive to reflect here at ABC.”
Lane also highlighted the overwhelming community support since joining the team, calling it a “beautiful reflection” of the brewery’s mission and values.
Ashland Brewing Company is poised to become a cornerstone of the local community—part taproom, part recreation center, and entirely rooted in Ashland pride.
