WASHINGTON, D.C. — December 17, 2024 — Ukrainian winemaking leader SHABO has launched a strategic partnership with SPYRT Worldwide, a U.S.-based company founded by two American veterans and one Ukrainian veteran. The collaboration, more than two years in development, marks a significant expansion of Ukrainian wine into the American market.
This partnership is rooted in a shared vision: to introduce American consumers to Ukrainian wine as a symbol of tradition, resilience, and craftsmanship. Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, SHABO continues to operate from its historic vineyards in Ukrainian Bessarabia, producing high-quality wines that have garnered international acclaim.
SPYRT Worldwide’s mission extends beyond commerce. The company emphasizes values such as justice, excellence, and unity—principles reflected in its alliance with SHABO. Together, they aim not only to bring Ukrainian wine to new audiences but also to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
A portion of the profits from U.S. sales of SHABO wines will be allocated to Invictus Global Response, a nonprofit organization led by veterans and dedicated to demining Ukrainian territories. This initiative directly connects each bottle sold to efforts aimed at clearing landmines in regions such as Kharkiv and Mykolaiv.
“This contribution will help carry out the humanitarian mission of clearing mines from Ukrainian lands,” SHABO stated in its announcement of the partnership.
The move is seen as a transformative moment for Ukraine’s wine industry. SHABO, with over 100 years of winemaking history, is recognized as one of Eastern Europe’s most innovative producers.
