Mallow, the plant-based restaurant situated in Canary Wharf, is set to host a special wine pairing dinner on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, as part of the celebrations for English Wine Week. The event will highlight English-produced wines, featuring selections from Artelium Vineyards and Roebuck Estates, paired with a curated four-course plant-based menu.
English Wine Week is an annual initiative aimed at promoting English wines and supporting the country’s expanding viticulture sector. Mallow, renowned for its sustainable and seasonal plant-based cuisine, will present four dishes from its new summer menu, each thoughtfully matched with a different English wine.
The evening will begin with a starter of olives and pickles, paired with Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvée 2018, noted for its refined profile with hints of toasty brioche, apple, and citrus. The first course offers escalivada — a medley of roast romano peppers, aubergine, onion, kalamata olives, and paprika oil — served alongside Wildfarmed sourdough and complemented by the elegant Artelium Chardonnay 2022, characterized by bright citrus notes with tropical mango and pineapple undertones.
For the main course, guests will enjoy wild mushroom ravioli with leek fricassee, sage butter, and pink peppercorn, accompanied by a rocket and blistered grape salad. This dish is paired with the juicy and aromatic Artelium Pinot Noir 2023, featuring bramble and damson fruit flavors. The dinner concludes with a pistachio pandan tres leches dessert, matched with the delicate and fragrant Roebuck Estates Rosé de Noirs 2018, offering red berry notes evocative of warm summer evenings.
Tickets for the event are priced at £60 per person, inclusive of all food and four glasses of wine.
Mallow, operated by the team behind the acclaimed Mildreds, has locations in both Borough Market and Canary Wharf. The restaurant prioritizes sustainability, sourcing ingredients from small-scale suppliers such as Wildfarmed and Honest Toil. This event underscores a commitment to supporting local producers while showcasing the rich diversity of English wines paired with innovative plant-based cuisine.
